    Description

Here is an amazing vintage yellow  dinner plate from the 1950s.  The color is a brighter yellow almost golden compared to the pictures.
By Brusche,  California Modern by Iroquois and Russel Wright , or Santa Monica Ware.
John Herbert ("Herb") Brusche , spelled as Brutsche in Mitch Tuchman's Bauer Classic American Pottery book, worked for Bauer Co. and created the "Al Fresco" line (page 22 of Jack Chipman's Collector's Encyclopedia of California Pottery, 2nd Edition). Brusche struck out on his own and created a line of informal dinnerware and at the same time he had his own line with the Bauer Co.
It looks fantastic with little wear. It is about 10 inches.    Perfect for any art deco, mid century or Danish Modern abode.
