    This in an offering for a hard to find Bauer Pottery Matt Carlton 7-1/8" high swirl decorated vase! Early stoneware body. Gloss brown glaze on the interior. Some of the swirl has washed off through the years. This piece is shown in the Chipman Bauer book on page 31 and in the Snyder Bauer book on page 122. It looks like somebody THOUGHT about drilling a cord hole 1/2" up from the foot. This does not go through to the interior. No nicks, chips, cracks or repairs!
