20 Different Date/MM Quarter Clipped Planchet Coins 3 are Silver. Collection Starter, OR(?)
These twenty US Quarters all exhibit metal flow diagnostic characteristics for mint-made pre-strike planchet ‘clips’(incomplete planchets). Nine
different design/planchet types are represented( I count each state’s quarters as a separate design type). Three are 90% silver, the rest are copper-nickel clad. They cover a time span of 73 years. All are circulated (but not that much, as the pictures show).
The dates included are: 1943-P, 1953-P, 1964-D, 1965(P), 1969-D, 1973-D, 1978-D, 1984-P, 1987-P, 1989-P, 1990-P, 1991-D, 1993-P, 1999-D DE, 2000-D MA, 2000-D SC, 2000-P VA, 2001-P NY, 2005-P WV, 2016-D Harper’s Ferry.
They could round out a clipped Planchet type set, start or add to a clip date set of quarters, States Quarters,
or of error coins, in general.
They are offered for bids as a lot--the successful bidder will receive all twenty (all shown in the listing photos).
