Description
Vintage Bauer Yellow/ Gold Ring Ware Pottery Teapot, Pitcher USA Beehive, No LidThis is a vintage 6-cup Bauer Pottery yellow glaze ringware teapot.
Made in the 1930s at the Los Angeles Bauer Pottery. This was a time when the ring line, or “ruffled” as it was then referred, exploded. The ring pattern, credited to designer Louis Ipsen, took over and was applied to anything and everything. Plates, coffee mugs, beer steins, butter dishes, carafes, pitchers, mixing bowls, cigarette holders, honey pots, candle holders, and more were all encircled by Bauer’s rings.
Great condition, 2 very small nicks around the spout and a very small nick around the outside rim- See Pics carefully. Marked U.S.A. on the bottom and the 3 dots.
It measures 5 1/2" tall at the rim. This listing includes the teapot only. The dimensions where the lid goes are: 2 3/4" inside diameter at the opening, 3 1/8" inside diameter inside the raised rim lip, and 3 1/2" outside diameter at the rim.
This item is in good condition but without its original matching lid. Pick up a lid online for around .00 or so and you have a very nice and desirable piece for your collection or as a gift.!
